Community Announcements

Public Works continues demolition and reconstruction of Chicago Avenue as part of the City of Minneapolis'

Great Streets Neighborhood Business Program.

During this transition, please make a special effort to frequent the small businesses bordering Chicago Avenue between HCMC and our southern boundary at 17th Street. The closing of this major traffic path has hit them hard and it's important to our future plans to keep current businesses alive and growing.

Update: Read this article by James Shiffer in the Star Tribune 8/29/10 -
Chicago Avenue: From main street to mean street

Select the "Public Notice" tab above for information from the city about updated neighborhood maps, Elliot Park Night to Unite (9/14) and any other announcements that we receive for our business community. If you have a special event, members are encouraged to email Diane Ingram about posting it on our monthly calendar.
